Anything less than 6-0 would have been a disappointment for the 11th-ranked (Class 4A) Webster City volleyball team on Saturday. Webster City steamrolled through its own Lynx Invitational, dropping just one set along the way to win the team title in the round-robin format. Head coach Jess Howard's club upped its winning streak to eight straight matches after disposing of Prairie Valley (21-13, 21-15), Clarke (21-5, 21-8), Gilbert (21-9, 21-17), Northeast Hamilton (21-11, 21-15), Clarion-Goldfield (20-22, 21-14, 15-9) and Ogden (21-13, 21-10). Northeast Hamilton claimed two sets, but was unable to collect a match victory. The Trojets fell 2-1 to Clarion-Goldfield (21-9, 21-23, 15-8) and Clarke (17-21, 24-22, 15-9), and 2-0 to Prairie Valley (21-4, 21-11), Gilbert (21-7, 21-10), Ogden (21-13, 21-11), as well as Webster City.
