Five-time defending Class 1A state champion Tripoli spoiled Senior Night for the Northeast Hamilton volleyball team here last night, but Trojets' head coach Kacey Pruismann didn't walk off the floor discouraged. "It wasn't anything to hang our heads over," she said after the fifth-ranked Panthers (13-10, 6-1 ISC) strolled to a 3-0 sweep, 25-5, 25-13, 25-12. "I thought we played well in the second and third sets ... although it was a loss, it ended in a hard fought battle." NEH seniors Jaidyn Timm, Kaylee Massman and Taylor Olson all had productive nights in front of the attentive home crowd. Timm, the team's libero, collected a team-high 11 digs. Massman distributed four assists, came up with three digs and delivered one kill. Olson had four digs. The Trojets (6-18, 3-4 ISC) just couldn't put up much of an offensive fight against the Panthers. They had just seven kills; Andi Anderson provided a team-best three.
