JEWELL - The South Hamilton baseball team had just finished a Heart of Iowa Conference game with Nevada last night at the Mike Penning Athletic Complex when head coach Bret Bell called an immediate practice. Ninety minutes later the players were finally allowed to vacate the premises. That should tell you all you need to know about Bell's mood following the contest. "Attitude, effort, hustle, confidence, all that stuff we can control we just lacked," Bell said following an 11-0, 5-inning loss to the Cubs. "We were just a completely different team than the one that ended last week." Nevada (6-6, 4-2 HOIC) completed the two-game season sweep of South Hamilton by scoring five runs in the third inning, five more in the fourth and one in the fifth. Hawks' starting pitcher Lane Heinlein took the loss. He went four innings on the hill, allowing eight hits and five earned runs. He struck out two, but walked five.
