Girls Tennis-Webster City vs Hampton-Dumont
WEBSTER CITY - The tennis coaching career of Erica Munkel couldn't have gotten off to a better start Tuesday afternoon at the WCHS courts.
The rookie Webster City girls' coach looked on with a smile on her face as her squad swept the singles without dropping a set en route to an 8-1 victory over Hampton-Dumont.
"I was very proud of how we did for our first meet of the season," Munkel said. "The girls showed a lot of hard work, especially in singles. They never gave their opponents an opportunity to exploit things."
