The sign of any good golf team is the ability to find success despite being off its game. The Webster City boys' squad - ranked No. 7 in Class 3A by the Iowa High School Golf Coaches Association - wasn't completely solid from tee to green on a sunny afternoon yesterday on the 3,175-yard, par 36 front nine at Briggs Woods Golf Course, and yet it still came out victorious. With sophomore No. 1 stick Logan Yates snaring the medalist honor, the Lynx (11-2) put together a team total of 167 to nip non-conference opponent Emmetsburg (173) by six shots. North Central Conference rival Algona (185) was at the back of the triangular.
